BOSKY ACRES

At Bosky Acres, our passion centers around the incredible dairy goat and the wonderful milk they provide. We are located a stone’s throw from Waxhaw, in the rolling landscape of southwest Union County. On our farm, we make fresh, unripened goat cheese (Chevre) for local farmers’ markets, area restaurants, and regional whole foods groceries. We don’t ship our cheese, because staying local guarantees a great product for our customers.

CALY’S KITCHEN

Caly’s Kitchen is a gluten free bake shop that makes gluten free baked goods that taste just as good as non-gluten free foods, and actually they’re better.  Not only are our foods gluten free, they are also soy-free, potato-free and, with the exception of our famous GF Corn Bread, corn-free as well.  You won’t find artificial colors, flavorings, or preservatives in any of our foods.

FAMILY OF 4 BERRIES – Calvin, Dawn, Megan, and Cole Hancock

In addition to our fresh fruit, we offer a tasty squash relish that is made from yellow and zucchini squash, right from our own garden.  It is a nice compliment to sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, and slow-cooked meat.  We also offer pickled okra that is harvested from our garden.  It is a southern favorite at our house!

GRAPES AND OLIVES ON TAP – Alejandro & Diane Lopez

Grapes & Olives On Tap specializes in naturally flavored balsamic vinegars and olive oils infused with herbs, citrus, berries, chocolate, mushrooms, and fruits. We want to share these products and their uses with you, bringing you tastier meals for healthier lives! Our naturally flavored olive oils and balsamic vinegars do not contain artificial coloring or preservatives. They are also cholesterol, sodium, and gluten-free. And our olive oils stay fresher longer since the actual herbs, citrus, berries, chocolate, mushrooms and fruit particles have been removed, and only the natural flavors remain. Research continues to show that olive oil and balsamic vinegar both contain healthy antioxidant-loaded polyphenols that may help prevent cancer and increase longevity. Olive oil has been called “liquid gold” and “youth in a bottle!” And tasting our naturally flavored balsamic vinegars is like a visit to a candy store for grown-ups! At only 14 calories per tablespoon, you can put our balsamics on everything!

SHARONVIEW FARM

We specialize in growing shiitake mushrooms. To help manage our disappearing forests, we grow our mushrooms using sweet gum trees, and it’s been very successful. Our mushrooms have a slightly sweeter flavor than if they were grown on oak trees.

SOSPESO COFFEE ROASTERS- Kyle and Janet Baker

At Sospeso Coffee Roasters, we are passionate about coffee and community.  We source outstanding, single origin and estate grown specialty coffees from all over the world.  Our coffees are chosen on the basis of their unique flavor  and character — which are a direct reflection of the coffee’s varietal, growing environment and care in cultivation and processing.  We then carefully develop roasting profiles that fully express the unique flavors, aromas, and body found naturally in coffee, while avoiding flavor associated with the roast.

“Sospeso” is an Italian word meaning “suspended.” The word reflects a century-old tradition of those with means paying for coffee to be offered for free to those less fortunate. The Suspended Coffee Movement continues to grow and has expanded into a larger effort encouraging those with means to “pay it forward.” At Sospeso Coffee Roasters, we proudly carry forward this tradition by donating a portion of our proceeds as coffee donations to food banks and missions in the communities we serve.

TYSON FARMS BAKERY – Carolyn Porter

I’ve lived in this area all of my life, and I’ve enjoyed being a seasoned southern baker for the Waxhaw Farmers’ Market for many years. Each week I bring delicious sour creme pound cake, my best seller, and pies, along with cookies and brownies. Many folks tell me my peach cobbler is the best they’ve ever tasted! Try my coconut pie and my sweet potato pie, too!

THE MANAGER’S TABLE – Ginette Morrison

The Waxhaw Farmers’ Market is a non-profit organization. At the Manager’s Table we raise funds weekly so that we can continue to provide a venue for our farmers and artisan vendors. We offer Ashe County cheeses and butter, as well as delicious, seasonal orchard apples and peaches. Funds raised help us with land leasing, the purchase and upkeep of our tents, advertising, insurance, and all the management and amenities we provide for the market.
